Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have liver disorders, or if you have gallstones, or if you have anaemia. Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen. Contra-indications: Do not use if you have inflammatory diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and bile ducts, severe liver disease, or if you are taking thiazide diuretics, cardiac glycosides, corticosteroids, stimulant laxatives or other medications which may aggravate electrolyte imbalance, or if you have if you have hypokalemia, high blood pressure, or a kidney or cardiovascular disorders. Do not use if you are allergic to anethole or plants of the Apiaceae/Carrot family. Undesirable effects known: Hypersensitivity (e.g. allergy) has been known to occur (rare cases); in which case, discontinue use. In rare cases, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea may occur. The absorption of other drugs taken simultaneously may be delayed. Induces the enzyme system of the liver involves in the detoxification process, therefore, the effects of other drugs can be weakened or shortened.

Recommended dose

Adults: Use one bag per cup water, 2 times a day. Pour boiling water
and allow to steep for 3 to 5 minutes. Duration of use: Consult a health
care practitioner for use beyond 2 weeks.
