There is a wide variety of skin products on the market with diverse properties. It may seem difficult to know which option to turn to. Tea lovers will be happy to see that this beverage has many benefits that can be very beneficial to the skin. We wanted to offer you a DIY tea scrub recipe made from Sencha Four O'Clock green tea. We promise you that your skin will be thanking you.
WHAT IS AN EXFOLIANT?
Specifically, an exfoliant is a scrub that is applied to the skin to remove dead skin cells, ingrown hairs and excess sebum. Often, these form on the upper layer of the skin. It is recommended to exfoliate two to three times a week to ensure skin cell renewal. This will help you improve the appearance of your skin by reducing irregularities. In terms of its process, we suggest that you exfoliate in the shower, as the heat expands the pores, making the exfoliation more effective. You will definitely feel refreshed after a good hot shower with your DIY tea scrub!
WHY SHOULD WE EXFOLIATE OUR SKIN?
Firstly, once exfoliated, your skin will become softer. To achieve this, it is better to use products that are not too strong for the body. In fact, everything depends on your skin type! If you have dry skin, using a strong exfoliator may be drying it out. However, if you have oily skin, it may be more appropriate for your skin.
Keep in mind that a daily exfoliation allows your skin to be oxygenated, which promotes the renewal of epidermal cells. Once the dead cells are removed, your skin will be ready to be deeply hydrated. Know that it is important to protect your skin against the sun's rays, since it will be more fragile after the exfoliation. If you go outside, put on sunscreen to protect yourself!
WHY USE A HOMEMADE GREEN TEA EXFOLIATOR?
The use of a tea-based home scrub will allow you to see the benefits teas and herbal teas have on the skin. Green tea is good for the epidermis because it contains a high concentration of antioxidants. In addition, its anti-inflammatory properties help soothe redness and reduce dark circles that are created when you feel more tired. A green tea-based scrub would also help slow down the signs of skin aging.
Depending on your preferences, it is possible to use black tea or green tea to create your scrub. Just follow the suggested amounts in our tea-based exfoliating recipe. Overall, your skin will look better once exfoliated with our DIY tea scrub! So why would you deprive yourself?
