LIVIN’ THE DREAM COCKTAIL with Golden Turmeric Herbal Tea

Featured Tea: Four O’Clock® Golden Tumeric Herbal Tea
Pairs well with: banana splits, al pastor tacos, toes in the sand

Ingredients:

 

Makes 5 cocktails

 *Makes 3 batches

 Tart coconut water**:

  • 300 ml coconut water
  • 60 ml lime juice

 **Makes approximately 2 batches

 Preparation: 

For Four O’Clock® Golden Tumeric Herbal Tea Tepache:

2.      In a pot, combine water and brown sugar with two tea bags of the Golden Tumeric Herbal Tea.  Heat on medium heat for about 15 minutes and stir ensuring the sugar dissolves. After the time is up, remove the tea bags and set aside. 

3.      In a large container, combine the sweet tea mixture and 1 cup of pineapple skins. Cover with a clean dishcloth and use an elastic band to secure the cloth to the top of the container. Let sit on the counter for 3 days. 

4.      Each day remove the cloth and use a spoon to stir the mixture before recovering. Seeing bubbles forming at the top is normal. 

5.      After 3 days, strain out the pineapple skins. Keep refrigerated until ready to use.

For the Tart coconut water:

·       In a container, combine 300 ml of coconut water and 60 ml of lime juice and stir until blended. Keep refrigerated until ready to use. 

For the Cocktail:

  • In a 750 ml bottle with lid, add the Four O’Clock® Golden Tumeric Herbal Tepache, rum, Pisco and tart coconut water and stir until combined.  Keep refrigerated until use.
  • To serve, pour into a rocks glass over ice. Garnish with a mint sprig and enjoy!
